The DCUC Conference Difference

DCUC's Annual Conference is the ONLY conference that brings the DoD/Military perspective to credit union issues in a place where you can network directly with other CEOs, Executives and other top decision makers who face the same challenges in serving the military community.

  • Attend all educational sessions to learn about the latest critical issues that affect the Defense Credit Union industry.

  • Connect with other Defense Credit Unions at meals and events to share professional experiences and gain valuable insights about what’s happening now.

  • Network with our corporate sponsors throughout the week to learn about how they can help you improve critical aspects of your business, especially in emerging technologies.

  • Give Back during our Annual Conference with a Purpose and help raise funds for our 2024 military-related charity, USA CARES.

Dali museum.jpg

The Dali Museum has been the unofficial heart of fine arts in the Tampa Bay area since its opening in 1982. The debut of the new building in January 2011 has contributed to the cultural renaissance – a movement that has experienced an explosion of artistic institutions and outlets that visitors can enjoy. Salvador Dali is one of the most celebrated artists of all time. His fiercely technical yet highly unusual paintings, sculptures and visionary explorations in film and life-size interactive art ushered in a new generation of imaginative expression. From his personal life to his professional endeavors, he always took great risks and proved how rich the world can be when you dare to embrace pure, boundless creativity. The building itself is a work of art designed by architect Yann Weymouth, The Dali’s building combines the rational with the fantastical.

Thursday: Mural Bike Tour
(8:30AM - 10:30AM)

Explore the historic streets of Ybor City with our knowledgeable tour guide! This immersive tour will include “La Septima Avenida” (Seventh Avenue) or “Broadway,” as residents know it. Seventh Avenue is not just a street but the heart of a special community and has been designated one of the American Planning Association’s (APA) Great Streets in America for its history and character. Experience a visa-free visit to the only Cuban-owned land in America. Learn how the orders for the Cuban uprising against Spain were smuggled from Ybor City to Havana. Learn about the game of Bolita and the fascinating history of how organized crime-controlled Tampa for decades.

Once your guests are finished with their tour, the group will head over to the famous Columbia Restaurant for lunch to finish off an afternoon of history and cuisine. Ybor City’s Columbia Restaurant location is the oldest standing restaurant in Florida, celebrating over a century in business. The restaurant has been owned by the same family since 1905 and remains a crucial part of Ybor City history.

Friday Tour: JC Newman Cigar Museum Tour

Sail through the beautiful Boca Ciega Bay! Our captains can confidently tell guests they have a 99% chance they will see dolphins from our vessels. Are they that good? Well, yes … but they also know the deck is stacked in their favor.
Boca Ciega Bay and the greater Tampa Bay area is home to over 700 healthy identified dolphins. Guests never tire of seeing them swimming along in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you may see them jump completely out of the water. After all, they like to look at you too!
While guests occasionally spot dolphins just beyond our docks, the best way to truly experience the natural wonder of these wild sea creatures is on board one of our luxury sailing yachts and glide silently among them.
